There are…a number of problems.Ah ok got it, I am not the best with Scratch and am newer so I am not amazing at it.
First of all, I'm not entirely sure why you made a separate sprite to act as the hitbox.
Second, I think you did it because you wanted the player to move independently of the direction it was facing, but then you should have just used “change x by” and “change y by” instead.
The problem is created because the hitbox is hidden (which means it can't detect the wall) and because it's not only behind the player, but also smaller than the player.
